WORLD HEALTH DAY & 8 AREAS OF WELLNESS

WORLD HEALTH DAY & 8 AREAS OF WELLNESS, Transatlantic Today

(Washington Insider Magazine) –  April 7th is World Health Day! This is the perfect time to think about wellness and self-care and focus on de-stressing.

According to The Global Wellness Institute, wellness is “the active pursuit of activities, choices and lifestyles that lead to a holistic state of health.” There are 8 areas of wellness that can enhance your overall wellness!

1. PHYSICAL – Follow a movement/fitness routine.

In my recent interviews with successful people like Jasmine Jasudavicius MMA Champion, and Anastasia Elliott, we talked about creating steps in your daily life to get active.   realistic fitness goals. Setting movement targets like 30 minutes a day or 3 times a week to get started will help balance your days.  Low-intensity workouts as a starting point is also a way to get on a realistic path to fitness. And having guidance always helps  you set those goals. A eellness coach can help you track habits, meals, and make improvements!

2. ENVIRONMENTAL – Start a garden.

Foster the relationship between you and your natural surroundings! You can use outdoor personal spaces of earth to stary a garden. Grow flowers or some simple plants. Maybe even try your hand at growing an indoor herb garden on a windowsill to reap the benefits just like our forefathers did! Keeping up with watering schedules help you have balance by making you part of something outside yourself. I can tell you more about the reasoning behind this in my Power Your Life program.

3. MENTAL – Do something creative.

Creativity means doing something new or sparking something fun and playful. Break out a plan to use time each day to make your life shine. A wellness coach can help you with tools to help you unleash your creativity. You can be creative at every level!

4. SPIRITUAL – Reflect and meditate.

Centering yourself and getting in touch with your spiritual holistic side means searching for meaning and a higher purpose. A mentor can help you see differences in each person. One way to tune in to this is by journaling or even trying meditation as as mentioned in my blog series. Our Emotional Strength Explained self-help workbook was created for those looking to record personal experiences and moments of growth. It can be used to fit whatever speaks to you  about your own unique spiritual wellness path.

5. EMOTIONAL – Take time for you.

It’s easy to get caught up in the stress of everyday life. It’s important to make yourself first priority! Using our Self-Care Power Your Life 5 Day challenge is a great way to get started.   Remind yourself not only does it make your life easier but also mentally healthy.  It’s okay to take a break from your daily grind.
