(Washington Insider Magazine) -RUSSIAN-UKRAINIAN WAR UPDATE – NATO foreign ministers gathered in Bucharest, Romania, the country’s capital, to discuss Romania’s continued support for Ukraine during this time of war.
After meeting with the Romanian President, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg implored NATO to step up its support in the region during a news conference where he reminded the crowd how crucial it is to invest in their defense system as they combat the largest security crisis of all time.
NATO has decided to increase its presence from the Baltics to the Black Sea in response to Russian aggression.
New battlegrounds have been introduced to help strengthen their defense; one led by France in Romania while Canadian Aircraft protects the airways, and U.S. Patriot missiles are being used to boost NATO defenses against Russia.

The NATO secretary is adamant about strengthening defenses to prevent Putin from winning. He does not want this to serve as an example of excessive military force for political gain to other authoritarian leaders, which is why he reiterated the need to stand firm in their support for Ukraine.
Romania says it needs the commitment of Troops and defense equipment is needed soon as possible all the while Russia is seemingly weaponizing winter by attacking energy and critical Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
NATO is increasing its membership count to include Sweden and Finland to aid against Putin’s attack on Ukraine’s power infrastructure. These attacks are leaving citizens without electricity, heat, and water during the cold months of winter.
Ukraine had to bring into effect emergency blackouts because of the required repairs of their power infrastructure, according to the national grid operator. Some customers are only receiving 2-3 hours of electricity a day because the demand for repairs is high throughout Ukraine.
Nordic and Baltic Countries from Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Sweden all met in Kyiv with the unanimous and resounding message being a call for More Western help with less political maneuvering.
The meeting was the largest delegation to visit Ukraine since the launching of the Russian invasion.
Ukrainian citizens are left with the responsibility of repairing their infrastructure after the Russian attacks.
