“The goal of our Declaration of Independence is simple: We, the American people, won. They lose,” DeSantis said as he detailed the plan in Rochester, New Hampshire.
The plan seeks to achieve 3% annual growth through a broad series of tax reforms aimed at encouraging domestic investment, while restricting the possibility of lobbying by foreigners.
Another of the main aspects that DeSantis proposes is the prohibition of members of Congress to buy and sell shares in the stock market.
DeSantis’s agenda would also involve reining in the Federal Reserve by ordering it to focus solely on price stabilization. That way, the Federal Reserve would no longer have the goal of achieving full employment in the United States.
“The Fed must focus on stable prices; he is not a social engineer and cannot afford to be a non-responsible economic planner,” the campaign said, according to CNBC.
The plan would also direct the Justice Department to focus on diversity initiatives, which his campaign says encourage discrimination.
