North Korea (Washington Insider Magazine) – NORTH Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un has banned Mother’s Day messages recently. This attempt was taken to cling onto control of the hermit state. Kim Jong-un is concerned about the ‘I love you messages that are attached to the bouquets and this is threatening his power.
The three Kim leaders in North Korea have got God-like support and adulation from the locals during their reigns. North Korea’s current dictator believes that his leadership is being undermined due to Mother’s Day celebration.
Kim Jong-un Bans MOTHER’S DAY Messages
A source within North Korea has revealed that the loving messages children are sending to their mothers are considered to be “encroaching upon the significance” of Kim. The holiday was relatively new to North Korea. North Korean citizen in recent years has been claiming that Kim’s heartless and bizarre crackdown is not acceptable.
A resident of North Korea said:
“When the holiday was first announced, people were not that fussed. But as the regime began pushing propaganda about the holiday in subsequent years, people started putting more thought into what to buy their mothers in the days leading up to Mother’s Day.
North Korea’s growing interest in celebrating the Mother’s Day holiday has angered the North Korean leader. He considers this day as a threat to his power. The previous and current North Korean leaders have been considered royal by the public. Kim Jong Un does not want the public to show interest and love to someone else other than the current ruling leader.
The unwavering, support and respect that the leaders of North Korea have received is almost God-like. This adulation during their reigns has been powerful and the Mother’s Day celebrations are seen as a threat by the leader.
Kim’s Heartless Crackdown Is Not Accepted By The Citizens
Kim’s heartless and bizarre crackdown is not appreciated by the citizens of North Korea. The celebrations have engaged the significance of cult-of-personality offerings of the flower baskets behind the portraits of the leaders.
Mother’s Day has become more popular and the state of the run shops and other merchants have been offering various kinds of flower arrangements. Kim Jong Un is not happy with the merchants and shop owners and wants to put an end to the celebrations.
“But the regime has begun restricting the practice of attaching ribbons signifying a ‘thank you or ‘I love you since it encroaches upon the significance of cult-of-personality offerings of flower baskets in front of portraits.”
The restrictions put on people is a concern for the public who wishes to celebrate the special day. People all around the world want to celebrate their relationship with their Mothers. North Korea is no different and they wish to present special gifts and send loving messages to their mothers.

The Role Of Mother Is Ignored By The North Korean Leader
According to the North Korean citizens, anger was growing at the way the role of the mother was being ignored by Kim’s one-party state. North Koreans have been rewarding their mothers on Mother’s Day, despite Kim’s threats. Grown children have been giving clothes or money, to their mothers. The younger children save their allowance or part-time job earnings and often buy winter gloves for their mother.
Poor children of farmers are preparing breakfast for their mothers. They also do some extra chores around the house if they don’t have enough money to buy a gift for their mothers. The love and care of children towards their children is boundless.
The North Korean leader’s ignorance towards the mother figure and the celebration of Mother’s day has caused an ever-tightening spiral of threat. The country is likely to face a counter-threat from its Western rivals. South Korean intelligence confirmed that North Korea can fire intercontinental ballistic missiles and this could be a serious threat.
North Korean public is not happy with their leaders’ perspective on Mother’s Day celebration. The rage among the public will make it impossible for Kim Jong Un to ignore the special day.
