Milei Brings Libertarian Agenda to Meetings with US Tech CEOs

USA (Washington Insider Magazine)— President Javier Milei is set to arrive in San Francisco tomorrow for a series of meetings with top technology executives. The agenda includes discussions about the potential establishment of Twitter’s operations in Argentina and the launch of a new government strategy termed “technopolitics.”

Techno-Politics Strategy

Milei’s visit aims to encourage investments from US technology companies, which would also benefit the companies’ geopolitical image. This strategy, dubbed “techno-politics,” was initiated during Milei’s previous meetings with Twitter CEO Elon Musk. Sources indicate a possible imminent announcement regarding Musk’s company, X, establishing a presence in Argentina.

Meeting with Key Tech Leaders

According to Cronista,  Milei will meet with several prominent technology executives during his visit, He has a meeting with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman arranged for tomorrow. On Wednesday, he will hold a 45-minute presidential conference at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, followed by discussions with Stanford rector Richard Saller and Hoover Institution director Condoleezza Rice, as well as other professors and economic policy specialists.

Engagements with Google and Apple

Milei’s Wednesday schedule also includes meetings with Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, and Timothy Cook, CEO of Apple. Additionally, he will engage with 30 entrepreneurs and investors connected to Artificial Intelligence.

Thursday’s Agenda

 On Thursday, Milei plans to meet with startup entrepreneurs in the AI sector and deliver a speech at the Pacific Summit, organized by the Bay Area Council. The day will conclude with a significant meeting with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Potential Twitter Expansion

A key highlight of the trip is a planned meeting with Elon Musk to discuss the potential expansion of Musk’s company, X, in Argentina. Previous discussions between Milei and Musk have focused on market liberalization and the removal of bureaucratic barriers to attract investors. They also discussed organizing a major event in Argentina to promote libertarian ideas.

Milei’s Delegation

President Milei will be accompanied by his sister Karina, Economy Minister Luis Caputo, and advisor Santiago Caputo. This trip underscores the administration’s focus on integrating advanced technology and fostering international partnerships to boost Argentina’s economy.
