US(Washington Insider Magazine) -A deadly US storm has disrupted the Christmas plan of billions of people celebrating Christmas in the United States. Due to the power outages, it became impossible for the locals to celebrate the special day with comfort. More than 200 million people in various states of the USA ARE UNDER warnings. There are thousands of flights were canceled and dozens of locals were found dead.

A battering winter storm in the USA has left 1.7 million homes and businesses in danger. There is now power across the United States, and millions of people are worrying about how the power outage will affect the future of Americans in the upcoming days. The power outages are also affecting the travel plans of Americans during the holiday season.

Millions Of People Suffering Due To Weather Warnings 

More than 200 million in the USA are stuck inside their home due to the weather warnings on Saturday. THE wind chills have taken the temperature down as low as minus 48 Celsius. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the weather conditions are severe and the locals should avoid going outside. Government officials have set out teams to provide help to people in need.

The blinding blizzards and the freezing rain has made the life of the locals a living hell. America is knocked out of power and states from Maine to Seattle are all blacked out. There is a major electricity grid operator that has warned 65 million people to stay careful, especially during the night time. The eastern US has rolling blackouts all around the cities.

Across the country, there have been at least a dozen deaths. Due to the exposure to the cold weather people are facing a lot of problems. There have been a lot of car crashes because the roads have become icy. The snow-covered roads are the worst effect of the storm. Two people have died in their home outside Buffalo, New York. The crews were not able to reach them while they were alive. Americans are facing blizzard conditions and things seem to be out of hand.

The Storm Has Drowned Power Lines

The power lines are drowned and this has resulted in power outages in America. The littered highways are stocked with piles of cars caught in accidents. There are more than 1000 flights that have been canceled due to bad weather conditions. Many people couldn’t go back to their homes due to the cancelation of their flights. The storm doesn’t seem to stop and it looks like it is going to affect the daily life of people even after the holiday season.

The number of canceled flights has hit to be nearly 5,700. Heavy snow and howling winds have taken a toll on the whole nation. The storm stretched from the Great Lakes near Canada and went on to reach the Rio Grande along the border with Mexico. The power lines are drowned in water and this has resulted in power breakdown in various states of America.

Freezing rain has coated the Pacific Northwest in a layer of ice. People in the Northeast have faced the threat of coastal and inland flooding. This horrifying situation indicates that people might land in trouble in the coming days. Highways in the Midwest have experienced delays due to snowy weather or crashes. Some states like Indiana, Michigan, New York, and Ohio are urged to avoid traveling.

Enormous Strain On The Citizens 

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg revealed that the US aviation system “is operating under enormous strain”. There are two different storms and high winds that are affecting the airports. Many people were unable to travel due to the canceled flights. Hundreds of flights around the country have been canceled. About 10 percent of US flights were canceled on Thursday. The Americans are under a lot of stress because of the bad weather conditions. Storms and heavy rains have also affected the Christmas celebrations of the locals. 

Another 10,400 US flights were delayed. There is more than 40 percent of those were operated by American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Southwest Airlines. The situation is getting worse because snow storms don’t seem to end sometime soon. The weather officials have sent out a warning to the locals to stay inside their homes. This year’s Christmas has been spoiled due to the bad weather for the Americans. The locals have not been able to meet up with their friends and family on this special day.
