Donald Trump Defiant: Facing 37 Charges, Vows to Persist, Transatlantic Today

US (Washington Insider Magazine) –  The former conservative president blamed Joe Biden for the accusations he has received, and compared the president’s political actions to those of 20th-century communism.

After former President Donald Trump was charged with 37 mishandling of classified documents, the Republican went live condemning the 49-page federal indictment against him.

“They tried to frame me for treason and now they are trying to do it again,” Trump declared this Saturday at a rally with more than 3,500 Republicans at the Columbus Trade and Convention Center in Georgia.

“I risked everything for you, and I will never give up,” promised the candidate for the Republican nomination ahead of the 2024 presidential elections.

Likewise, he blamed Biden for the accusations he has received, and compared his political actions with those of communism in the 20th century.

“Biden is trying to jail his main political opponent… just like they do in Stalinist Russia or communist China,” Trump said. “I never thought that such a thing could happen in the United States.”

The recent remarks came in the first of two campaign stops for Trump, who continues to count favoritism in the Republican race despite multiple legal problems.

Trump’s indictment comes after a federal grand jury heard evidence that the former president illegally withheld classified documents and stored them at his Mar-a-Lago home.

Charges against him include willful withholding of national defense documents and conspiracy to obstruct justice, leading to the indictment of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for allegedly falsifying Trump’s business records. .

Also, possibly to these two cases accusations will be added in Georgia for electoral interference and in Washington D.C. for his alleged actions around the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021.

However, despite his judicial situation, Trump has optimistically assumed his situation, and assured that they are his fuel for the Republican presidential nomination.

“I could throw in the towel tomorrow, shut down my 2024 presidential campaign, and all charges against me would magically be dropped!” Trump said in a fundraising email.

Following his recent speech in Georgia, Trump plans to travel to North Carolina as part of his campaign, and will be at that state’s annual Republican convention.
