Brazil’s Early World Cup Exit: A Historic Upset

Brazil(Washington Insider Magazine) –  A draw against Jamaica left the Brazilian team eliminated in the group stage, something that had not happened since the 1995 edition

This Wednesday in the Women’s World Cup that takes place in Australia and New Zealand there was the great surprise of the tournament, as the Brazilian team was left out of the competition in the group stage by not being able to beat Jamaica on the last date .

The final score of the match was 0-0, which added to the defeat against France and the victory on the first date against Panama, left the South American team with 4 points. One point less than Jamaica and three points behind leader France to finish in third place and be eliminated in the first round. Brazil had not been eliminated in the first round since the 1995 edition that took place in Sweden.
