Egypt (Washington Insider Magazine) – A tragic bus accident in northeastern Egypt has claimed the lives of 12 university students and left 33 others injured, according to the Health Ministry. The crash occurred on the Ain Sokhna highway as students from Galala University were returning to their dormitory in Porto Sokhna.
Emergency responders, including 28 ambulances, rushed to the scene, transporting the injured to the Suez Medical Complex. Authorities have not disclosed their condition or the cause of the accident. However, local reports indicate that the bus driver has been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation.
