16-Year-Old Teenager Was Stabbed
A 16-year-old teenager was stabbed yesterday afternoon in a group attack on a Brooklyn street, just hours after a similar case in Queens.
The New York police are looking for five suspects – three men and two women – in the attack in Brooklyn. According to Fox News, around 4 p.m. the victim was stabbed in the back outside a laundromat on 6th Avenue near 49th Street, in the Sunset Park neighborhood. The young man was hospitalized in stable condition.
Hours before, around 9:15 a.m. A 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death by several other teenagers in a broad daylight attack on a Queens street behind Flushing High School.
According to the New York police, that teenager was stabbed twice in the back on 34th Avenue near Parsons Boulevard. Then seven male adolescents fled on foot in an unknown direction.
That victim also survived, but did not refuse to give information to investigators, police said. It is not clear if he or his attackers were students from that school.
No arrests have been made or suspects identified in any of those attacks. Anyone with information should call 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) and in Spanish 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). Also through crimestoppers.nypdonline.org or by text to 274637 (CRIMES), followed by TIP577. All communications are strictly confidential.
Both attacks with bladed weapons recalled the crime of fifteen-year-old Lesandro “Junior” Guzmán Feliz, assaulted with knives and machetes by a group in June 2018. The last six of 13 accused gang members were sentenced on Friday.
