USA (Washington Insider Magazine) – White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will address the briefing room on Tuesday, her first on-camera appearance since President Biden’s tough debate performance. This comes after a brief news conference aboard Air Force One on Friday as it traveled to New York.

 Post-Debate Reactions and Rally

President Biden acknowledged his debate performance in a rally held in Raleigh, North Carolina, candidly admitting to supporters, “I don’t walk as easy as I used to. I don’t speak as smoothly as I used to. I don’t debate as well as I used to. But I know how to tell the truth.” Campaign Communications Director Michael Tyler echoed Biden’s sentiment, stressing the president’s continued dedication to fighting for the American people and contrasting him with former President Trum, according to Foxnews.

 Weekend at Camp David

After a string of campaign events in New York and New Jersey, first lady Jill Biden and the president’s children and grandchildren gathered at Camp David reportedly to encourage the president to stay in the race despite uproar within the Democratic Party questioning whether the current commander-in-chief is a viable candidate to nominate for a second term. The family reportedly blamed campaign staffers for not adequately preparing Biden for the CNN debate against Trump.

 Internal Tensions and Concerns

A Politico report on Tuesday revealed that some top administration officials are apprehensive about displeasing the president during daily briefings. A senior administration official described the briefings as tailored to avoid setting Biden off, indicating a challenging environment. The official also noted Biden’s increasing isolation, relying only on a small circle of aides for advice.

 White House Response

White House Senior Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates refuted the claims made in the Politico report, asserting that the portrayal of staff being afraid of the president is inaccurate. Bates emphasized that the description does not reflect Biden’s character.
