(Washington Insider Magazine) – Tyrone Quick was killed by José Ortiz in a building in the Bronx, the offender was accused of murder, attempted murder, involuntary homicide, attempted involuntary homicide, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
A man from El Bronx was fatally shot after visiting a friend, not knowing that death was waiting for her.
The victim identified as Tyrone Quick, 45 years On Friday night, authorities and a witness reported.
When Guzmán looked for a place to hide in another woman’s apartment, Ortiz slipped behind and cut her in the arm, then waited by the door and mortally wounded Quick when he arrived, police revealed.
The neighbor, Justina Cruz, said she was pressing Guzmán’s wound and did not know that Quick was badly injured.
“I had no idea that Tyrone was right in front of my damn door fighting for his life. I didn’t know or would have helped, I would have helped. I didn’t know, ”he said, crying, and called him” as a damn fear movie, like your worst nightmare. “
Cruz said the suspect “was standing there, ready to face anyone who entered,” he added: “He said he was going to kill us. I looked at him and said: ‘You’re fucking crazy. You are not going to kill anyone. ”
Police said Quick, who lived in Nelson Avenue, went up to the elevator and took them to a floor above, where he got off and then collapsed.
“Somehow, Tyrone had reached the elevator. I don’t know how, but ended on the sixth floor. Never go up to the sixth floor. I was just trying to flee, ”said Cruz.
Ortiz “waited for the police,” Cruz said, being arrested without incident. He was accused of murder, attempted murder, involuntary homicide, attempt at involuntary homicide, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
The detectives were finding out if “a noise complaint” produced the incident and Quick was trapped in the midst of violence, New York Post reported.
“That is preliminary,” said a spokesman for the New York Police Department.
Ortiz had hit Guzmán’s door, which made him call Cruz.
“He [Ortiz] is always hitting the damn wall and acting as if someone was making noise. He is hitting Vanessa’s door. Vanessa lives alone. Vanessa has no children, or pets. Vanessa has nothing. Vanessa doesn’t even listen to high music and this man is hitting his wall and wreaking havoc, ”said Cruz.
Guzmán was transferred to Lincoln hospital with injuries that did not put their lives at risk, police said.
