(Washington Insider Magazine)-President Joe Biden leaves an audience in Massachusetts with the impression he has cancer while delivering a speech calling for action to fight the climate crisis–now known as the President Biden cancer scare.
The president made a statement regarding himself, and those who struggle with cancer–leaving many confused and shocked at the seeming admission of ill health–which would directly defy what we’ve heard from the White House press staff.
The president said this in the context of looking back on his childhood in Delaware, addressing the consequences of the gas emissions released from local oil refineries that were in the area.
However, later that day, the White House made it explicitly clear that President Biden’s cancer scare hadn’t been as real as many had thought–since the President was referencing a previous diagnosis of non-melanoma skin cancer that had been removed before taking his oath of office.
Despite the confusion, Biden continued to pledge his allegiance to a brighter and greener future ahead, stating that he would do everything in his presidential power to address the looming risks of climate change.
While it is unclear whether or not Biden has been diagnosed with cancer in the past, it is clear he plans to take drastic actions to combat the climate crisis. According to CNN, Biden has told his team he is ready to take significant action on the climate discussion.
Yet, West Virginia Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin has abruptly ended all talk regarding Biden’s Climate package to analyze the issue of inflation.
Addressing this, the president made choice remarks regarding his responsibility to address the climate change–instilling a top-down leadership model to address the pending crisis. President Biden ended the address, promising to take steps to curtail what he named as an existential threat to our global existence.
Instead of declaring the climate crisis a national emergency, however, the President released his plan of action to approach the issue on a smaller scale.
The Biden Administration is hopeful to accomplish their goal of carbon reduction in 2022 and beyond.
