US (Washington Insider Magazine) -Scenes of panic and desperation were recorded in a Miami Beach restaurant, where a pit bull attacked a dog named “Lunita”, who suffered multiple injuries to her legs, back and near her genitals.
And according to the first reports, “Lunita” was with its owner, identified as Chris Borchetta, in a restaurant located in Miami Dade County, where the man was meeting talking with a group of friends.
Everything was going smoothly, but suddenly, Chris Borchetta heard “Lunita” barking, so he immediately turned to see her, he and the other diners who were at Monty’s Sunset restaurant, on Alton Road.
Lunita “suddenly started crying”
“I heard my dog suddenly start crying, I looked down and this dog (pit bull) had her by the back and was dragging her towards the pool,” Borchetta stated about the attack on her pet.
“The dog (pitbull) remained silent. He came up behind us, we didn’t hear anything. There were no growls or barks,” said Borchetta, stating that the attack was surprising.
The attack was recorded on video
The events took place last Friday night and were recorded by one of the witnesses with his cell phone, which he later shared on Only In Dade.
The attack was recorded before the astonished gaze of those present. There were several people who tried to separate the animals, but it was quite a challenge to achieve it.
In the video you can hear the barking of “Lunita” and the desperate screams of people who could not believe what was happening in the restaurant.
Unprovoked attack, said the owner of “Lunita”
“It was an unprovoked attack. It’s terrifying to see something like this happen. “It seemed like an eternity,” said Chris Borchetta, owner of “Lunita.”
Dog owners also went to great lengths to separate their pets. Both men indicated that their dogs are service dogs.
“Lunita” suffered injuries to her legs, back and near her genitals. Given the severity of her injuries, the dog had to undergo surgery that lasted three hours.
Chris Borchetta, owner of the dog, later said that his pet is recovering satisfactorily and thanked the expressions of affection and support that he has received after the attack on “Lunita.”
Borchetta said the pit bull’s owner was responsible for footing the bill for “Lunita’s” medical expenses.
