The violent robbery occurred inside the Deli and Grill business at 1990 Bedford Ave, Flatbush neighborhood, on January 16 at around 5:54 p.m. New York police are looking for suspects when a man and a woman entered the store and he tried to take a Snapple bottle without paying for it.
The unidentified 44-year-old owner tried to stop him. A dispute then ensued and the alleged thief stabbed him in the back. The woman then hit him in the face several times. The couple then fled down Bedford Ave.
Kings County Hospital
EMS transported the store owner to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, Fox News reported. Photos of the suspects were released yesterday by NYPD.

In recent weeks there has been a spate of violent shoplifting in New York. NYPD has warned since last year about the growing insecurity in businesses and warehouses. Many owners have opted to reduce hours and lock up merchandise in the face of a rise in thefts at stores, pharmacies and bodegas, including deadly attacks on employees and customers.
In early January, the same night an employee was shot during an apparent robbery at a Dollar Tree business in Brooklyn and another worker was shot in the back at a smoking business on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
Last month a man who allegedly robbed a Manhattan marijuana store returned four days later to stab one of the employees. Also in December, an elderly jeweler was beaten to death when two men broke into his Brooklyn business. They took $100,000 worth of merchandise.
Statistics for the end of 2022 will show that felonies and robberies increased in NYC during 2022, although homicides decreased.
