USA (Washington Insider Magazine) –Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker was overheard on Wednesday expressing dissatisfaction with the current state of the presidential race, raising questions about his stance on the 2024 election. During an event on community violence intervention in Chicago, Pritzker was picked up by a nearby microphone in a conversation about how he felt regarding “everything.”
“I don’t like where we are,”
Pritzker remarked, before adding,
“We’re just going to keep fighting, I don’t know what to say. You know, gotta go with what we have to do.”
He was then pulled away from the conversation, leaving his comment open to interpretation.
Jordan Abudayyeh, the deputy chief of communications for Pritzker’s office, later clarified to CNN affiliate WBBM that the governor appeared to be referring to the state of the presidential race. CNN has reached out to Pritzker’s office for further comment.
When speaking to reporters directly on Wednesday, Pritzker voiced his support for President Joe Biden’s increased visibility, stating,
“I think now, more and more he has been out there. He is talking to the public, he is talking to reporters. That is what we need him to do.”
Pritzker’s remarks come amid growing uncertainty within the Democratic Party regarding the 2024 election.
