FLORIDA (Washington Insider Magazine) – At Disney World, two groups engaged into a brawl that resulted in arrests and the hospitalization of one person, according to officials.
According to a representative for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Orlando, Florida, the altercation took place Wednesday night within the Magic Kingdom.
One family reportedly stood in line for Mickey’s PhilharMagic Concert when a member got up to get her mobile phone, which she had left in her electric conveyance vehicle, according to the site Walt Disney World News Today.
A passenger told WDW News Today that when she attempted to rejoin the line, another family violently shoved her back and wouldn’t let her in. After the concert, a dispute between the families took place outdoors.
TODAY Parents were unable to independently confirm this information, and a Walt Disney World representative did not immediately respond to calls for comment.
Theme parks do occasionally witness fights.
This week, Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park had to close early due to many conflicts involving teens. As a result, the theme park announced a “new chaperone policy” on Fridays and Saturdays “until further notice.”
The new rule stipulates that visitors under the age of seventeen must always be escorted by chaperones who are at least 21 years old. Anyone who doesn’t abide by the rules risk having their access to the park revoked.
A Las Vegas man who took part in a 2019 family fight in Toontown at Disneyland last year was given a 6-month prison term. A witness recorded a man beating a woman, pulling her hair, and spitting on her on camera. A number of individuals became involved in the altercation, and an old woman in a wheelchair was hurt.
And in 2019, according to the Clay County sheriff’s office, a brawl between a group of teens occurred at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Missouri.
