Launched in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the EPC is a collaborative initiative envisioned by French President Emmanuel Macron, designed to address shared concerns among European countries.
This summit, hosted by newly elected UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, will bring together approximately 50 European leaders, offering a significant platform for dialogue and cooperation. Starmer’s leadership at this meeting represents his first engagement with international leaders since Labour’s decisive victory in the General Election, highlighting a renewed commitment to re-establishing the UK’s role on the global stage.
