Eduardo Verástegui Addresses Candidacy Irregularities: Defends Against Time Constraints, Transatlantic Today

US (Washington Insider Magazine) —Duardo Verástegui has recently stated that apparently fraud has been occurring in everything related to the candidacy for the presidency of Mexico. For this reason, he offered statements to the program ‘Despierta América’, a moment where he expressed his discomfort.

“This is not fair. They are playing with my time and my money because I paid for this campaign, with the hope of gathering a million signatures. But there is a slogan to kill the baby before it is born. Now I understand President López Obrador, and I don’t agree with him on almost anything when he said ‘the INE is useless’. I agree with him,” he began by telling the Univision morning show.

During the interview, Verástegui called on his followers and all Mexican citizens not to remain silent in the face of these situations and to fight for a true change in the political system.

“We are doing very well, but unfortunately Mexico’s democracy is in the hands of an application that does not work. The INE Citizen Support application is not working. “We have thousands of videos, we have the evidence and we are suing the INE,” he added during the conversation.

“It’s very complicated, you have to download it on your phone. You have to have space, data, and then you have to follow 11 steps. I call it ‘The 11 steps to not signing’. It’s very complicated. If you don’t have a phone and you have a valid INE credential, you can’t sign,” he said regarding an application that is used only for that.

This interview generated controversy and controversy, since Verástegui is a recognized figure in the artistic field and his denunciation once again highlighted the existing problems in the Mexican political panorama.

“They are committing fraud and I am not going to sit idly by. I’m going to fight. The vast majority of Mexicans want a change. They do not have political representation, they feel orphans,” he said during the conversation with some presenters of ‘Despierta América’.
