Florida (Washington Insider Magazine) –  Florida Gov. and presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis expects his opponents in the Republican Debate to “attack” him, believing that if they do, it means his speech is hitting “the mark.” Likewise, DeSantis told NewsNation that he “is in the race to win the presidency.”

Ron DeSantis, governor of Florida and presidential candidate, is already getting ready to participate in the first Republican Debate, an event that all supporters of the GOP primaries look forward to knowing, in depth, the political proposals of each of those who They aspire to reach the White House in 2024.

In fact, DeSantis has already announced that he expects his rivals to “attack” him in the primaries. This is what he said on NewsNation’s The Hill program.

“Look, when you’re being attacked, it means you’re hitting the target. So we’re happy for that to happen, and we’ll stand by it,” DeSantis said.

Likewise, the governor of Florida stressed that he is participating in the presidential race “to win.”

“In the end, I’m in the running to really win the presidency and do great things. I have no other reason. I don’t want to get a deal with the cable news companies. I’m not trying to sell anything. I don’t want a cabinet position. We are in this to win,” DeSantis said.

The Republican Debate will take place on August 23 in the state of Milwuakee.

According to The Hill, the presidential hopefuls who have met the requirements of the Republican National Committee (RNC) are former President Donald Trump; former Vice President Mike Pence; South Carolina Senator Tim Scott; former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie; former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley; conservative businessman Vivek Ramaswamy; and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum.

However, Trump’s participation in the debate has not yet been fully confirmed, since the former president recently stated that he would not sign the loyalty agreement required by the NCR to participate in the political event.

DeSantis recently replaced his campaign manager after poor early results.

Despite this, the Florida governor has stated that he remains optimistic about his ability to defeat former President Donald Trump in the Republican primary.
