(Washington Insider Magazine)-President Joe R. Biden will host the United We Stand September Summit at the White House on September 15, 2022.
This summit is in response to his campaign promise to “…heal the soul of America”.
President Joe Biden is delivering on his campaign promise in response to increased violence sweeping over America in recent months. He is determined to unite American citizens.
On September 15th, President Joe Biden will welcome leaders from all different classifications in hopes of generating support in the fight against hate-motivated violence – which citizens have seen a rise since the devastating effects of George Floyd’s death in 2020.
President Biden will deliver a speech incorporating federal, state, and local leaders, religious leaders, gun violence advocates, mental health specialists, and survivors of vicious hate-generated attacks. The attempt to unite both Republicans and Democrats will lay the foundation for awareness and action needed to reduce violence.
The hope behind the September Summit is to continue to bridge the gap between
the political and social divide. The start of success in this area is believed to begin with vocalizing the root of the cause and holding space for the pleas for judicious solutions.
The United We Stand Summit will not only address the fear and threat of hate-motivated violence in America. It will also address the mental health crises currently plaguing the country.
With suicide and depression increasing steadily within the past year, swift action for better mental health care is essential. Over half of American adults with mental illness do not have access to proper treatment and, as a result, do not receive
mental health support.
America is also seeing an increase in severe depression among the youth, yet
over 60% of children go without mental health care.
The September 15th Summit will also address hate-fueled crimes in America. Hate groups have reached epidemic levels, which has resulted in hate-motivated crime happening once every hour.
Within the past 20 years, these hate-driven groups have increased by 100%+ in America and are continuing to grow with each passing tragedy.
The reason for such violence is believed to be the result of the generational pain of adults who endured racial prejudice and behavior issues in their youth. However, the threat of hate-motivated violence is plaguing universally and is not limited to racial differences, gender identity, or religious preference.
Citizens hope that this will be a radical turning point in America’s sociocultural history.
