Atlanta rapper ‘Trouble’ shot dead

Atlanta rapper ‘Trouble’ shot dead, Transatlantic Today

ATLANTA (Washington Insider Magazine) – Trouble, a rapper best known for his songs depicting the harsher side of life in Atlanta, was killed in a shooting this Sunday, according to investigators. He was 34 years old at the time.

At a media briefing on Sunday, Rockdale County Sheriff’s official spokesperson Jedidia Canty stated Trouble, whose actual name was Mariel Semonte Orr, was killed in a 3:20 a.m. house invasion at Lake St. James Apartments in Conyers, roughly 25 miles east of Atlanta.

Canty said that a suspect, identified as Jamichael Jones, 33, of Atlanta, was wanted on warrants for murder, aggravated assault, and home invasion.

Jones, the attacker, was engaged in a domestic issue with the woman Trouble was seeing, according to Canty, and he and Trouble had never met.

Jones allegedly broke into the woman’s home and opened fire, hitting Trouble in the chest once, according to Canty. At the spot, he was confirmed dead.

The woman, who has not been recognised, was not said to be hurt.

As fans mourned and expressed their outrage about Trouble’s death on social media, Canty said investigators were searching all of the killer’s known locations in an effort to arrest him.

“Come Thru,” “Bring It Back,” and “Ain’t My Fault” were among Trouble’s most well-known tunes.

In 2011, he launched his debut mixtape, “December 17th.” Complex named it one of the finest albums of the year right away. Trouble was freed from prison on that date, therefore it was given that name.

Trouble’s music, according to Complex, reflects the grittier side of Atlanta while also displaying “serious pop sensibilities” and “considerable musicality.”

Throughout 2017, Trouble went on to release mixtapes before branching out into the standard album format. His most recent albums, “Thug Luv” and “Edgewood,” were released on Universal Music Group labels Def Jam and Ear Drummer/Interscope, respectively.
