Choosing a good airline is vital to enjoying a business or pleasure trip, and for that reason, Bounce, the specialized luggage site, evaluated different international airlines, finding that Japan Airlines had the best scores.
Japan Airlines is the highest-ranked international airline for 2023, with an overall score of 8.28. Japan Airlines consistently scored 4 out of 5 for inflight entertainment, meals, seat comfort and staff service, as well as having one of the best on-time arrival records at 88.36%.
The airline also has a low rate of flight cancellations at 1.56%, as well as one of the most generous baggage allowances. Economy class passengers are entitled to 10 kg of hand luggage, in addition to 46 kg of checked luggage for both domestic and international flights.
“Airline reliability can vary wildly from company to company, as can the quality of inflight comfort, service and entertainment, all of which contribute to a fantastic colocation experience,” the Bounce report says.
With this in mind, the site updated its airline index to reveal the best and worst companies to fly for international travel.
The ranking evaluated 60 airlines based on various factors, from the number of on-time arrivals to the quality of inflight catering, to form the updated 2023 Airline Index.
