(Washington Insider Magazine) -Soldiers were said to be wounded in the attack and required stitches after they were attacked late at night by the masked man. The incident occurred at Inyokern Airport in the Mojave Desert, on September 18 after 1 am.
News of the attack was leaked on Instagram and Reddit, seeming to show an incident report featuring a sword-wielding ninja. Ridgecrest Police Department records seem to align with this report, as they revealed two soldiers had to be seen for stitches.
The affected special operations soldiers were not named, but it was revealed that one was a captain and the other was a staff sergeant, likely in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, also known as the Night Stalkers.
However, it was the soldiers who were stalked in the night in September when the staff sergeant was approached past 1 am while he was smoking a cigarette outside the airport hangar administration building. The document recalled that the man who approached was “an unknown person wearing full ninja garb.”
The conversation is said to have gone as follows:
Ninja: “Do you know who I am?”
Staff sergeant: “No.”
Ninja: “Do you know where my family is?”
Staff sergeant: “No.”
The record then states that “The person in ninja garb began to slash at (the soldier), striking his phone and his knee and leg.”
It is said the soldier ran from the attacker and jumped a fence before retreating into the administrative building alongside the captain, where they locked the doors and called 911 for backup.
In the meantime, the attacker kicked and punched at the windows of the building before throwing a large block of asphalt through the window, a chunk of which struck the captain.
Ridgecrest Police Department logs show that the first 911 call was made at 1:20 am, before a second one followed 30 minutes later, with the soldiers then ‘hunkered down in a hangar wondering where help is.’
While the attacker fled the scene of the crime, he was later arrested at a different location.
