A person in New Jersey won $1 million in the Mega Millions lottery drawing on Tuesday, January 24.
The winning ticket, corresponding to the second prize, was purchased at “Lawton Express”, a business located at 678 Bergen Blvd., Ridgefield, Bergen County, Fox News detailed.
The winning numbers for Tuesday’s drawing were: 33, 41, 47, 50 and 62. The Gold Mega Ball was 20 and the Megaplier Multiplier was 04.
A ticket from Massachusetts matched all five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball, taking down the $31 million Mega Millions jackpot. The estimated cash value was $16.3 million.
Last week, in the January 17 draw, the $20 million jackpot fell in The Bronx (NYC). Previously, on Friday the 13th in Maine someone walked away with a $1.348 billion jackpot. That night four people in New York won $1 million each.
Earlier this month three people walked away with $1 million each in New York and New Jersey at the Mega, which is played in 45 states, as well as Washington D.C. and the US Virgin Islands.
In September 2021, a ticket sold at a Midtown Manhattan pizzeria brought in $432 million in that lottery. In November 2022, a $1 million ticket was purchased in Lower Manhattan, in October another for the same amount in Brooklyn, in August another for the same amount in Queens and in July in The Bronx.
