Wild Fight Broke out at a Manhattan Hotel

A wild fight broke out at a Manhattan hotel that is used as a migrant shelter, with three of the residents throwing bottles and then being stabbed in revenge, the New York police said Sunday.

Brothers Jordy Torres-Cabezas, 33, and Dilan Pachecho-Cabezas, 16, were throwing bottles with another man, Alejandro Pollo, 19, at the Stewart Hotel at West 31st Street and Seventh Avenue near the 12:55 a.m. Saturday, authorities said.

It was unclear who the bottles were being thrown at, but on one occasion it struck 23-year-old Andiley Nazaire, officials said.

Hotel security ejected the three men from the site and a supervisor escorted them two blocks to W. 33rd St. and Seventh Ave. Naraire, however, pursued the trio for revenge.

Nazaire responded to the bottling by stabbing the two brothers in the back with shards of broken glass, officers said.

The four subjects were charged with assault, menacing, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon, the New York Post reported.

The brothers were taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

Torres-Cabezas, Pachecho-Cabezas and Pollo said the hotel is where they live, police said.

The 600-bed hotel is one of four Humanitarian Emergency Relief and Response Centers for migrants as New York City is struggling to help the large influx of foreigners coming from the US-Mexico border.
