List of Nuclear Bomb Targets in Canada (2022 Updated)

Ottawa (Washington Insider Magazine)- Canada doesn’t have any nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons currently. Moreover, they don’t have any delivery system. They are a member of all the relevant treaties and regimes. If this isn’t enough they are working to manufacture and export many dual-use goods. All these goods are particularly related to civil nuclear applications.

The Government of Canada is playing an active role in exporting control regimes. Many probable nuclear targets in Canada include Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, and Sault Ste. The list also includes Marie, Ottawa, Montreal, Windsor, and Halifax. They have a limited stock of A-Bombs and other targets will not be worth hitting.

What Canada Can Do To Rule In Vladimir Putin’s Adventurism?

Countries like Canada with a middle power will have certain limits. Similarly even Russia has some limitations when it comes to nuclear power. Many experts believe that threatening another country with nuclear weapons seems like an empty threat. The bombs that go to one’s border can only cause destruction and nothing else.

If Putin is threatening Europe with a nuclear attack, that means he can conquer the entire continent with solid plans. This is the reason why West doesn’t have the option to stand the ground. However, if both sides are just playing games, how will everything plan out?

You will be surprised to know that most Cold War Playbooks are eliminated from the refresher courses. It is happening since the 1960s now. While playing the nuclear game both parties play the game like a chicken. They wait for who will run away first before the collision takes place. As Putin plans to take over the West, he is on shaky ground.

Canada’s Policy On Nuclear Disarmament and Non-Proliferation

Its policy of Canada on nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament is based on the treaty. It is planned by the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) while reinforced by related initiatives. Currently, Canada plans to prevent the USA from getting its hands on nuclear weapons. It will decrease the number of nuclear weapons to a great extent worldwide.

Canada plans to advocate non-proliferation with a strategic approach. This involves asking all the states to join the NPT. It can bring around a comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT). They can negotiate for creating a Fissile Material Cut-Off Treaty (FMCT).

The Government of Canada is taking tiny steps not only to stop State but also the Non-State actors from acquiring nuclear weapons. Even technology, knowledge, and materials for the weapons are a threat to their programs. They can implement commitments that are coming from the Nuclear Security Summit Process.

Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty

Canada supports the comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban treaty. The entry of Canada into this treaty is more of a strategic approach to nuclear disarmament. It also involves staying in the nuclear non-proliferation. According to the CTBT, all nuclear explosions and weapon tests will be prohibited. As these tests are banned, CTBT will prevent the US from creating new weapons. It also prohibits them from improving the quality of weapons.

CTBT is not in force yet but soon will along with 44 countries that are listed in Annex 2. The treaty members hold a special conference after every 2 years. The US is trying to stay away from the treat as much as they can. Canada is co-hosting a Ministerial-level “Friends of the CTBT”. They joined this meeting along with Australia, Japan, and the Netherlands.

According to another treaty, the nuclear non-proliferation and disarming of nuclear weapons from Canada cannot be used before negotiation. Such activities can halt the manufacturing of fissile material that is used for nuclear weapons. It will eventually lead to a loss of production of nuclear weapons.

Which Canadian Cities Will Be Targeted In The Nuclear War?

Canada boasts of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons along with relevant delivery systems. However, it doesn’t mean that Russia will not try to target the most prominent cities. Russians will probably look for hitting a target that is worth it.

The list of cities that will be under the threat of nuclear war will be Vancouver, Edmonton, and Winnipeg. Moreover, Toronto, Sault Ste. Marie, Ottawa, Montreal, Windsor, and Halifax will be under a big threat. Since 1984, Canada has stopped hosting all US nuclear weapons on their territory.

They participated in NATO’s nuclear mission in 1963 1984. Similarly, they are a member of nuclear energy since Atomic Energy of Canada Limited took place in 1952. Since the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, things seem to go out of control.
