Israel(Washington Insider Magazine) -Military officials in Israel announced on Saturday that Hassan Nasrallah, who led Hezbollah for over three decades, was killed in an Israeli bombardment targeting the group’s headquarters in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Friday night. The news was confirmed by Hezbollah a few hours later, stating that Nasrallah had

“joined his great, immortal martyr comrades.”

The Israeli military characterized Nasrallah as one of its “greatest enemies,” with spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari claiming that his elimination makes the world a safer place. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz echoed this sentiment, stating that Nasrallah’s death was a justified act of counter-terrorism.

Iran, a major supporter of Hezbollah, vowed to continue the path that Nasrallah had set. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani emphasized that Nasrallah’s legacy would endure, as they aim for the liberation of Jerusalem. Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref warned Israeli leaders that the killing of Nasrallah would lead to their destruction.

Hamas condemned the assassination in strong terms, labeling it a “cowardly terrorist act” and criticizing the strikes as “barbaric Zionist aggression.” They expressed solidarity with Hezbollah, noting that Nasrallah had supported their cause through his fighters’ rocket fire into Israel.

Yemen’s Houthi rebels declared that Nasrallah’s killing would bolster their resolve against Israel. They promised that his martyrdom would inspire a strong commitment to confront their foes.

Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani condemned the assassination as a crime that crossed all red lines, describing the attacks on southern Beirut as shameful. He referred to Nasrallah as a

“martyr on the path of the righteous.”

As reactions unfold across the region, the death of Hassan Nasrallah has heightened tensions, potentially reshaping the dynamics of Middle Eastern conflicts.
