Biography 

Jesse Bailey Watters was born on July 9, 1978 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He is 43 years and grew up in the Germantown neighborhood. The family later moved to East Falls neighborhoods. He attended the William Penn Charter School and completed his junior year there. His family moved to Long Island in New York later on and he changed his school. In 2001, he graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and earned a degree of B.A. in history.

Career

After completing his graduation, Watters started to work as a production assistant at Fox News Channel. In 2003, he switched his role and took part in the production staff of The O’Reilly Factor. Later in 2004, he began to take part in the on-air segments of O’Reilly’s show which is a political talk show.

On June 11, 2014, Watters made his debut on Fox News show Outnumbered. he occasionally appearing as a guest co-host on the show for a long time. On November 20, 2015, Watters made his debut on the monthly Fox News program, Watters’ World. The show outnumbered many other political shows at that time. He is considered an “ambush journalist”.

Jesse Watters once said in an interview:

, “I try to make it enjoyable for the person I’m interviewing. We always come away from the interview all smiles, for the most part. And it’s always fun to come back and look at the footage and say, ‘Oh my gosh, what just happened?’” In January 2017, Watters’ started to be on air every week and became. It aired every Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.

In April 2017, Watters cohosted the roundtable series The Five. In April 2021, HarperCollins announced that he will be releasing Watters’ new book How I Saved the World. The book was published on July 6. This book made its debut at the number one spot on The New York Times nonfiction and became a best-seller.

Controversies

Jesse Watters has been under a lot of criticism for giving numerous provocative statements. In January 2017, Watters said harsh things about John Podesta, Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager. He shared his views on the theft of Podesta’s emails by Russian hackers. He said:

, “What happened was John Podesta gave his password to a hacker. And guess what his password was. ‘Password.’ It’s a true story. His password was ‘password.’” The fact-checking website PolitiFact rated Watters’ claim “False.”

Watters stated, “You can fight climate change with suntan lotion. It’s not that big of a deal.” His views regarding President Donald Trump’s policy of keeping children away from their families were not right. He stated the following on this matter: “some would say it’s a more humane policy” than keeping them together.

Amanda Terkel Controversy

In 2009, on assignment for The O’Reilly Factor, Watters, and his cameraman were accused of accosting journalist Amanda Terkel. The journalist had written an article that was against Bill O’Reilly. Seven years later, when Amanda and Jesse met at a journalists’ reception, The Huffington Post’s Ryan Grim asked Watters to walk over to Terkel and apologize. Watters said he would not apologize and said: “I ambushed her because O’Reilly told me to get her because she said some bad shit.”

A video spread where Ryan grim approached Watters with his phone. The video also showed Jesse throwing Grim’s phone on the floor. Watters later commented on the incident by saying; “I was at this party trying to enjoy myself. This guy came up to me. He starts putting it in my face.”

Chinatown Segment

In October 2016, Watters was under fire for the segment related to Chinatown. His segment was considered racist toward Asian Americans. Watters asked Chinese Americans about their knowledge of karate and if he should bow to them before he greets them. Throughout the segment song kung Fu fighting playing in the background was heard and the interview included references to martial arts and clips of Watters getting a foot massage. This segment was criticized by the Asian American Journalists Association. The organization stated:

“We should be far beyond tired, racist stereotypes and targeting an ethnic group for humiliation and objectification based on their race.”

Wife

Jesse Watters is a married man. His wife Emma DiGiovine got married in 2019. He was also married to Noelle Inguagiato Watters and have twin daughters with her. Noelle and Jesse divorced in 2018 after Watters had admitted to having an affair with Emma DiGiovine, who was a producer on his show. Watters got engaged to Emma DiGiovine in August 2019, and they got married later on. They have one son together. The couple is very much in love and is often seen spending time with their children.
