US (Washington Insider Magazine) – Some 50 million people are under alert for storms, tornadoes and effects on electricity service, reported the National Weather Service; the alert includes New York, New Jersey and the city of Washington, D.C.
A new storm, tornado and flood watch has been issued for regions of at least eight states.
Some regions of New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware, and Washington, D.C. they have an alert until 11 p.m. from the east.
“We are still expecting another round of showers and thunderstorms tonight. The area remains forecast for severe flooding,” the New York office of the Weather Service said.
